The Good Property Guide

The Good Property Guide – September/October 2013

The nights are drawing in, the air has a chill and we’re donning our coats once again, which can only mean one thing – summer is setting sail for another year. We can’t complain though because it’s been a scorcher and while the mercury has been rising, property markets in Europe have also been heating up. Finally.

And in this edition of the magazine we take a look across to the Continent, where new legislation is reshaping the markets. Spain is luring buyers from the
Far East thanks to its new residency schemes, while Montenegro is becoming a refuge for rich Italians looking to evade the “yacht tax.”

We also look at the Alps’ ski chalet market and explain what buyers need to look out for when investing in a slope side property. On a slightly warmer note, Gavin
Haines heads to the Maltese island of Gozo to look at character properties in a place that receives 300 days of sunshine a year – lucky islanders.

Anticipating that you might be looking to escape for a bit of winter sun, Gavin also gives the lowdown on Gambia, “Europe’s shortcut to the tropics.” And if you were planning a scary sojourn for Halloween then don’t miss our feature about spooky half-term breaks in the UK.

Enjoy…..until next time.
