Happy summer to you all, finally the sunshine has arrived. I don’t know about you, but the South of France has been calling us this month. Perhaps it’s the Cannes Film Festival or perhaps it’s the warmer weather, but in this edition of The Good Property Guide we cast an interested eye over the Cote d’Azur, looking into the pull of Provence (page 54) and the glitz and glamour of Cannes (page 74). We also head to Spain where a flight to quality has seen a luxurious golf development buck a trend in the country’s beleaguered property market (page 40).
Speaking of golf, our features editor Gavin Haines hotfoots it over to Barbados, where he looks around another fairway side resort with investor appeal and a sprinkling of stardust (page 12).
With renewed interest in Sydney, we report on the local property market and find but where investors are putting their money. We also window shop for houses in Long Island’s Gold Coast, the New York suburb made famous by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s seminal novel The Great Gatsby (page 28), the film adaptation
of which will hit the big screen this month.
Enjoy…..until next time.
