Well, what a summer this is shaping up to be. Far from being a damp squib after the Olympics last year, we’re having another great one.
Things got off to a flyer with the Rolling Stones headlining at glorious Glastonbury
–for the first time in their 50 year career – and then we had two major sporting achievements with the Lions thrashing Australia and Andy Murray ending our 77-year wait for a male Wimbledon champion. All of which has been capped off by this gorgeous weather (not that I want to tempt fate).
The team at The Good Property Guide have barely had chance to enjoy this vintage summer. We have been busy bringing you the latest property and travel
stories from around the world, paying particular attention to Europe where the property market looks to be slowly turning a corner, thanks largely to an
injection of foreign cash.
Away from property I have been busy training and taking part in the Race for Life to help raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity very close to my heart. I also chatted to Radio DJ, Chris Evans, briefly to find out what he is doing to help raise money for Breast Cancer Care (page 8).
Meanwhile our features editor, Gavin Haines, headed to Malta (page 72) to find out how this small archipelago’s property market has bucked the trend in Southern Europe to remain one of the strongest markets on the continent. And in this edition we also eye up moves to the Dominican Republic (page 26), Turkey (page 32) and France (page 36) amongst others.
Enjoy…..until next time.
